NYFW 2019: Zac Posen
Instead of a runway show this year, Zac Posen decided to do amazing videos of his latest collection. He then opened his studio to select visitors to come and see his atelier, the new pieces and I was beyond thrilled to be one of the luckiest guests to go!
Even better our scheduled time was on my birthday!!!!!
I wore a ridiculous baroque queen themed outfit, because, well, why not be beyond over the top and diva on your own special day!
While at the atelier I was stopped dead in my tracks when I saw these unbelievable dresses from Zac’s latest collection. I had seen the stop motion videos on Instagram with Winnie Harlow, and died over them… but seeing them in person was even more insane. They said I could try them on to better decide (convince myself) I “needed” to order one.
It was such love at first tie up (the whole thing is corseted) that I ended up ordering the pink cocktail length option, and then convincing the team at Zac to lend me the sample to wear that night to my birthday dinner. More on that here.
The team had Zac had set up the most amazing luncheon. Gorgeous decor, amongst the even more gorgeous new designs, and they even surprised me with a cake! I was so excited… it was my absolute, very favorite kind - Milkbar birthday cake - and I couldn’t believe how thoughtful they were to organize that for me!
It was my idea of the most perfect way to spend my birthday! We toured the atelier, and I got to ohhh and awww at every manequnn, try on and order some future new favorite dresses, and indulge in delish faire and cake! Swoon!
